My 2 year old

by: Jen on Thu, Dec 27 2007

I have daughter (my first) who is 2 this week.
She hates being touched, however is starting to talk. As of a few days ago she can say “no”, but before that not much.

If you try to pick her up, she screams and throws a tantrum, if you try and hold her hand it’s the same. But I have tried saying to her “I’m going to pick you up, we’ll go for a walk”, she seems to be okay. If a door is shut and she wants to go through it, the door must be shut behind her or she screams. If the door is open, it must stay open.

Is this normal toddler behaviour, or is there possibly more to it?
