Autism & food

by: Angela on Mon, Apr 23 2007

my now 10 year old son has been wheat free and dairy free since he was around 3 years old. he has autism and he was nearly non-verbal (meaning he only said ma, da). he refused to let anyone or anything touch him, he was non-social, non-ambulatory, didnt toilet well, didnt sleep well, had skin rashes, crying spells, giggling spells and much much more.

we were told about a diet eliminating casein (dairy) and gluten (wheat) from his diet and within 3 days of giving this a try a marked change in him began to happen, now he cuddles, talks, socializes, walks on his own, toilets, sleeps, plays, giggles with a purpose and cries with one too. he didnt used to feel pain, now if he falls or gets hurt he can tell me where the pain is and how it happened. the diet has changed his life and if anyone wants to give this diet a try, i will be willing to tell you all i know to help you out. unlocking your child from his own little world is possible, give it 3 days to see if it works for your child or not.
