He was disruptive in class, and did something he called “sprinkles”, where he stiffened his upper torso, and put his hands in front of his face while moving his fingers in a jerky fashion. He is now 25 years old. He is a factory worker, and is leading a very successful life. However, my older son, who never had any of these problems as a child, started having seizures when he about 20 years old. I have not witnessed any of his seizures, but I have been told it is hard for him to function for a day or two afterwards. He is also very nauseous the following day. He is now 28. He has no insurance, and says he cannot afford to have medical testing done. I talked him into going to a clinic for help. I went with him, but he was told that he was probably suffering from anxiety attacks. My oldest son and I have hypermobility syndrome. My oldest son has a son who is six years old, and has begus to stare off into space. His mother took him to a doctor that said he was having some sort of staring seizure He also has a healthy three year old daughter who did not walk until she was 14 months old. His youngest son is 16 months old, but he was born five weeks premature. He was diagnosed with PVL shortly after his birth, and he has just learned to crawl. His physical therapist thinks he will be walking by the time he is two. I am wondering if there is some connection between all of these things. I have read many things on autism as, pvl, and cp, and cannot find a connection. Any ideas? Comments
