To quickly access health information from your website's browser, download my grandmother I was 16 when I found out my grandmother had ALS It was hard for me because she has always been the one I would go to to talk to. The doctors said that she would not last no longer then 3 months after she found out she had it. Well she would make goals for her to stay alive so that she would be able to be alive when something happen. She made a goal to stay alive untill I graduated, I graduated when I was 18 yrs old and she was there. She lost her voice when I was 17. I try so hard nowadays to remember what she sounded like. I have to watch a video just so I can. She lost her strength in her legs when I was 18. But she was still going. When I was 19 yrs old I found out I was pregent it would be her first greatgrandbaby, So she made a goal to be alive when the baby was born. When my doctors told me that the baby would be born in june I was happy cause my grandmother was not going to make it. She died on June 13th at 1:33 pm. exactly 5 1/2 years after we found out she was sick with ALS My grandmother was not able to see her first great grandchild. but my son was born on July 13th at 1:33 pm exactly one month after my grandmother died. My family tells me that she did get to meet her great grandson, maybe not in real life but up there with god. My mom told me that when i was in labor it took me about 31 hours to have my son. She said when my son came out I told my grandmother to let him come. I know in my heart that my grandmother died with no pain. Some say she was even smiling when she went ( I don’t know cause I was not in there I was 9 months pregant and wasn’t allowed to go in). My grandmother is here with me always helping me raise my kids. I will always love her and she will always be remembered through my kids. Thanks for hearing my story. Comments
