My grandson needs help

by: grandma H on Tue, Feb 05 2008

My grandson has been diagnosed with ADHD and was taking medicine (low doses) to help his consontration, attention span, hyperactivity, so he could function with less distractions. especially in school. It was warking well .he was a very happy and well mannered little boy who was paying attention thinking things out, he had controll. but his dad who wasn’t involved to much in his life had come into his life and talked his mom into taking him off the meds.not gradually but on one day off the other.

He has went from having a good chance to function well, to having many difficulties and struggles. I see him hurting and I can’t do anything about it. The medicine does help in some situations. please give it a try sometimes it takes a little bit to gat the right medicine and dose. It can help a child feel good about himself and you will see him achieve and succeed with confidence.
